| EASY STEPS |

5 Steps to your owning your website!
Introduction to Websites
There are 3 components to having a website.
- There is the hosting (ISP) and your unique domain name
or url address, which are services that record your unique
URL address and also saves your website on a server (a machine
that talks to the internet).
- Then there is the process of building a website.
This is the process of creating your business presentation online.
A website can be used for several things, such as; to inform the
public of your business and services in detail, sell products
through secure channels, collect information about your clients,
or to entertain them.
- Then the final component is the maintenance of the information
over time. Just as a brochure needs to be updated with
the current news of your business, so does your website. Such
maintenance activities would include replacing images, refreshing
the copy content, and placing new feature products, that would
reflect the growth and prosperity of your enterprise.
5 STEPS TO OWNING YOUR BUSINESS SITE!
|
 | Step 1: Consultation
|
Consultation
and choosing a Domain name (URL address) and Host (ISP)
The consultation and analysis of your site needs - will determine what domain name and site host features would fit you best. The interview would consist of questions such as:
· What kind of business do you have?
· What would you like your dream site to do for you?
· What would you like it to look like? Do you have favorite sites?
· What domain name(s) and extension would you like to use?
This will determine what host and size of server package would best fit your needs.
|
 | Step 2: Analysis
|
Matching Business Needs and Website Technology
After careful analysis of your business needs, Mordecaipages will
search for the 'best fit' technologies that will match your business
needs and budget. There will be a presentation of hosting choices,
a scope of work which itemizes my work schedule, and a draft detailing
costs.
There will be expectations on both sides, and these items will
also be detailed at this time. please feel free to call if you
have any questions.
|
 | Step 3: Building
|
Choosing the design and building your Website
This is the exciting part where you get to see your site come together. After the contract has been signed and the deposit sent, materials such as images and text must be received from you in order for your design samples to be completed. It is possible that designs can be made up without your unique images and text, however it is best to have them present so that you can see a more realistic layout of your website.
In this step, I am required to offer you 2 choices in designs, and you are only required to choose one.
|
 | Step 4: Search Engine Submission
|
Search Engine Submission, optimization and marketing
This is the launching and marketing step of your site development.
Your site will be submitted to any search engine that offers free
submission as part of my service to you. This includes "Meta Tag"
development (key words, business description, pages titles), link
exchange research and implementation, and content evaluation.
|
 | Step 5: Maintenance
|
Maintenance
As mentioned above, maintenance of your website information is critical in presenting your business as a fresh, growing, capable organization. There are several ways in order to do this - Mordecai Pages has maintenance packages available. Also, please note that after the launch of your website, 2 months of free general maintenance is included!
